Spoleto Jazz 2024, now in its fifth edition, will take place from 11 October to 7 November at the suggestive locations of the Teatro Caio Melisso – Spazio Carla Fendi and the Teatro Nuovo Gian Carlo Menotti. Organized by Visioninmusica with the sponsorship of the Municipality of Spoleto, the event offers three evenings of great contemporary jazz music, with internationally renowned artists. The opening of the festival will be given to the Greg Howe Trio, with a stage on the “Lost and Found” tour celebrating 40 years of career of the famous American guitarist. The second evening will see Stefano Di Battista Quintet perform a musical tribute dedicated to “La Dolce Vita” and Italian cinema. Finally, the closing will be entrusted to the Dave Weckl & Tom Kennedy Project, a stellar quartet that will propose original songs and innovative arrangements. In collaboration with Costa d’Oro, it will also be possible to live a sensory experience that combines music and olive oil tastings, with limited packages available for the public.

“The Rocche tell” is a medieval reenactment that takes place in Ferentillo on the second half of August. Fourteen living paintings are acted out by the villagers to recount the history of the village through the centuries.

This music and opera festival is held in Spoleto every year between June and July, usually lasting seventeen days totally. This festival ends with a series of events, the main one being the “Pasquarelle festival” where traditional old songs are sung to celebrate the birth of Jesus and the New Year.
In June, Spello’s pavements are covered up with floral paintings with religious motifs. The event takes place in June, during the feast of the Corpus Domini and is called “Infiorata”. The most important moment is the Night of the Flowers, between the Saturday and Sunday of the Corpus Domini, when people of all ages work together to create the flower pictures which will be on display along the streets of the town.
EaT – Enogastronomia a Teatro is a unique event that will be held in Spoleto from 21 to 24 November 2024. This event, now in its third edition, combines food, wine and entertainment in a complete sensory experience. The events will take place in two of the most evocative locations of the city: the Teatro Caio Melisso and the Teatrino delle Sei. The festival offers four days of theatre, music and food and wine tastings, transforming the theatre into a celebration of food and wine culture. The performances include culinary narratives, shows that explore the link between art and gastronomy, and tastings of typical products from Umbria. Among the events, the Play EaT Call selects innovative shows related to the theme of food, offering an opportunity for artists to present works related to contemporary food and wine. EaT is a must for food and culture lovers, where the public can live an immersive experience that combines taste, art and entertainment.
